On Hold...
Today I made a phone call to customer service for a company I used to work for. I wanted to make an online order so that visitors could bring me something. My order was rejected, and I am still not sure why and would really like to figure that out.
So I am pretty sure all of you know how a customer service call goes..."Press one for __, press two for __, etc." And then the friendly recording warns you that your call may be monitored. After this you may or may not get to talk to someone right away, but today I got lucky. I was met by a monotone male voice, and even though slightly monotone, very nice and kind. He asks to me hold after hearing my problem, and what more say do I have in it, so I say "yes I will hold." This is when it happens...
(techno beat cue)
People....
People...
Desire...
Desire...
You denied your
Primal desire
When you stayed home
And met no people...
People...
People...
Desire...
Desire...
The song continues but seriously probably the worst techno I have ever heard in my life. Luckily the next song to come up was gospel remix of Joy to the World. Hmm Christmas music. It left me laughing, and when the man came back on the line, I was informed he couldn't answer my questions because of a current computer problem. So when I call back maybe I will hear another terrible song, and share the joy of it with you.
