Trsat
It was a fairly clear day and were able to see the bay and surrounding area. The sun reflected brightly off the water and made pictures difficult, but oh what a view.
We had a couple take our picture in front of the tower of the castle...
and then proceded to climb more stairs to the top of the tower.
The view was incredible, and it makes the city look so spread out. It is spread out since it is along the coast, but when you walk down the narrow roads, it all seems compact. They pack so much into a small space!
I couldn't help but admire the view, and reflect on a comparison Taylor had made as we climbed the stairs.
Taylor said that last year, they viewed the stairs to Trsat like ministry. You have a daunting task a head of you, and there will be times when you want to give up, and times when you will be tired...but the people with you encourage you to keep going. When you get to the top, you can finally stop and look at what God has called you to. You can't help but love what you see, and want to press on because you have come to care so much. It was so true. I was tired after a lot of stairs, but I was able to look down on the city that God has called me to this year, and know that my heart wants to see these people know God.
