A Realization That Never Needed to be Made

So yesterday as I was walking I had this realization...really though it wasn't as much a realization as a thought process that before now had not occured. Our friend Doda in an interview referred to Rijeka as a wonderful, dirty city, which I concur with 100%. I have never really paid attention before to things on the sidewalk other than poop, sadly human and animal. I mean with the number of drains, overhangs, drieing laundry, and the frequent rain from time to time, puddles often are nothing more than water, clean that is. I was told that the reason people don't put their feet in chairs when their shoes are on here is because it puts the waste on the chair. Well the other night while walking home there was a man ahead of me taking a leak. As I stepped over running puddle, I realized that many puddles I see look just like this one. I thought, hmm...that reason now makes total sense. How many of those puddles have I stepped through before? Well folks, if you see a running puddle in Croatia it is mostly likely pee thanks to those good old lazy men who drop their zipper whenever the need comes. Thanks guys, you have made my life here much less enjoyable.
